The Journey

Tom Scott is one of the most decorated karate athletes in United States history. As a Tokyo 2020 Olympian, he achieved his lifelong dream of representing Team USA on the world's biggest stage when karate made its historic Olympic debut.

With 15 national championships, 6 Pan American gold medals, and the distinction of being the first American ever ranked #1 in the world by the World Karate Federation, Tom has proven himself among the elite in international competition. His bronze medal at the 2021 World Championships in Dubai further cemented his legacy as a world-class competitor.

A 4th Dan in WIKF Wado Kokusai Karate, Tom brings technical excellence and real-world competitive experience to every class at Victory Karate. Having traveled to over 40 countries representing Team USA, he understands what it takes to develop champions — both on and off the mat.

Tom holds a Master's degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas at Dallas. Beyond competition, he is passionate about giving back to the community, regularly volunteering at local schools to speak about motivation, anti-bullying, and the values of martial arts.

"I have always believed that the best is yet to come. I'm in this for the journey, not just the destination."
— Tom Scott
